The Baton Rouge Zoo is a unique and exciting venue to host your wedding. Our spacious Capital One Pavilion is perfect for your outdoor reception, and add an unforgettable experience to your event—an intimate photoshoot with some of our animals!

Let us help you put together a custom wedding package that will suit your special event, from a simple and elegant cocktail reception, to a full sit-down dinning evening with dancing and entertainment.

 

Reception Space

Our Capital One Pavilion is the perfect place to hold your Reception.

 

Add-Ons:

Start your special day by holding your wedding ceremony in the Grove or World Plaza, then seamlessly continue your evening with a reception in our Capital One Pavilion!  All our exhibits are available for your guests during your event, but you can also reserve our Animal Ambassadors during your cocktail hour for your guests to enjoy.
 

Catering, Alcohol & Other Vendors

We have a select list of approved caterers that serve the Zoo. All of our caterers are insured and permitted to also serve alcohol.

We also have a list of preferred photographers, DJs, florists, and other vendors that have experience working in the unique spaces of our venue and exhibits. If you are interested in engaging other vendors, we are more than happy to work with you to make your event special.

 

Accessibility & Staff

The Zoo is a lovely venue for an event, and a comfortable facility for your guests.  Our facilities accommodate individuals with a variety of needs, from simple parking to handicap accessibility.  We have security staff on site for the duration of your event.  For events with alcohol, an additional Sheriff’s deputy will also be on site for security.  There is ample space for catering and other vendors to set up and serve your party with ease and efficiency.

 

Reservations & Booking

Wedding dates book fast here at the Baton Rouge Zoo! Please contact us for a quote and to hold your desired date. Once your rental agreement is signed and your deposit paid, your date is fully reserved. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Contact our Event Sales Department now to schedule a tour or for a custom estimate at pcotton@brzoo.org or (225)-775-3877 ext. 253.
