Wrinkled Hornbill
Wrinkled Hornbill
While they look similar, hornbills are not related to toucans. They are adapted to a similar forest niche, but are from different parts of the world. The wrinkled hornbill’s casque acts like a megaphone, making the bird’s calls louder.
Wrinkled hornbills rely on undisturbed primary rainforest. Illegal logging in protected areas can affect their population.
