Wild Turkey
Wild Turkey
The male turkey is called tom or gobbler, the female is a hen, and the young are called poults. The domestic turkeys we dine on during the holidays weigh twice as much as their wild cousins.
Unlike the domesticated turkey, the wild turkey is a very mobile bird capable of running 35mph and flying 55 mph.
