Toulouse Goose
Toulouse Goose
This variety of goose was originally bred to use its liver for pate de fois gras. It is now seen in two forms: a dewlap form which is larger and used for showing and another that is smaller and lacks a dewlap which is used for meat production.
The Toulouse goose is generally a placid breed and prefers to avoid mixing with other, more aggressive, waterfowl.
