Siren
While it looks like an eel, the lesser siren is actually a salamander. If the water dries up the siren burrows into the mud and secretes a substance that dries around it forming a cocoon.
The lesser siren is very vocal. It uses clicks to communicate with others of its kind and when captured, it yelps.
