Louisiana Milksnake
Louisiana Milksnake
This secretive, nocturnal snake is seldom seen. It spends most of its time under rocks and logs or hidden under the bark of tree stumps.
The bright pattern of red, black and yellow bands mimics the colors of the venomous coral snake. This helps protect this non-venomous snake from most predators, except humans.
