Indian Muntjac

The male muntjac uses his inch-long canine teeth to fight, rather than his antlers. He avoids fights by marking his territory with scent to warn other males away.

The Indian muntjac is solitary and shy and rarely ventures out of the dense forest. When it senses a predator is makes a barking noise that tells the predator it has lost the element of surprise.
