Blue and Yellow Macaw
Blue and Yellow Macaw
These birds will lick clay cliffs near waterways to obtain minerals and detoxify seeds. This species associates in pairs and when flying, the two birds will stay close together with their wings nearly touching.
Macaws communicate over distances with loud screams. While they may call at any time of day it happens most frequently at dawn and dusk.
