The Baton Rouge Zoo is a place where people connect with animals from all corners of the world--from giraffes to rhinos, alligators to tigers and more!
During your visit, stop by The Otter Pond, which features a replicated fishing cabin with underwater viewing of the otters, as well as L'aquarium de Louisiane, which exhibits the fish, reptiles and amphibians of Louisiana. From there, take a stroll through Parrot Paradise where you'll see rare and colorful birds from the tropics, or get a first hand look at Asia's wildlife at our Realm of the Tiger exhibit.
For those young and young at heart, our popular Safari Playground is located right next our KidsZoo, where visitors can receive hands-on encounters with farm animals! Of course no visit is complete without a scenic ride on the Cypress Bayou Railroad, which takes our visitors around the perimeter of our beautifully maintained grounds.
Concessions (and lunch with the flamingos!) are available at the Flamingo Café, or grab a snack at the Cool Critters Café. Before you leave for the day, don't forget to stop by our Safari Post gift shop next to the front gate for great souvenirs and gifts for the whole family!
