A letter from the Director...
At BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo, we are proud to say "see what's new at your Zoo." Whether a new baby zebra is born, or we've implemented new software to better run admissions, it's our passion to serve the public and help connect you with animals.
Our environment is literally changing every day, and finding resources for new programming, animal exhibits and other projects is a challenge. That's why I'm reaching out to you, our loyal supporters, to help facilitate change and improvements to your Zoo.
Just this year, you've seen a number of improvements. We reconfigured the Zoo path, making our Zoo more geographically-themed, enhanced the giraffe exhibit and hosted a night for children with cancer and their family and friends. We were able to implement many of these projects thanks to the generosity of our community and people who share our vision of a world-class Zoo in Baton Rouge.
In 2013, we hope to continue change with more interactive play-spaces and sculptures for children; new enrichment equipment for our animals; behind-the-scenes cameras for our cats to help our staff research and work with them; and to update older exhibits.
Your gift to the Zoo's Annual Fund is absolutely essential for us to continue to improve the Zoo. Large and small, your gift counts.
Please visit our donation page. Make your gift today and know that your extra support is truly appreciated. Together we can continue to see what will be new at the Zoo in 2013!
See you at the Zoo,
