Mediterranean Miniature Donkey

Donkeys have a habit of freezing in place to avoid danger. Because of this they have gotten a reputation of being stubborn.

Once used to pull carts and turn mill stones, these diminutive donkeys have all but disappeared from Sardinia and Sicily.
