Llamas are domesticated animals and provide humans with wool for clothing, are used as pack animals, and for milk and meat. In the United States, some ranchers use llamas to protect their sheep herds from predators.
When a llama becomes irritated with another llama, or a human, it will spit at the other animal to get it to back off.
