Indian Runner Duck
Nicknamed the "bowling pin duck," the Indian runner duck does not fly or waddle. As its name suggests it is a very good runner. They are known for being excellent egg layers, laying up to 180 per year.
Indian runner ducks were domesticated from wild mallards. They were selectively bred for their ability to travel over distances in order to feed in rice fields.
