De Brazza's Guenon

The name "guenon" comes from the French word for fright. De Brazza's guenons are known for their "cryptic behavior." when frightened this monkey freezes in place until the danger passes. It can remain motionless for up to 5 hours.

Sometimes called the "swamp monkey" this animal is a good swimmer.
