Red-billed Hornbill

This bird spends most of its time on the ground foraging for food.  It uses its bill to dig for insects.

This species often forages with groups of dwarf mongoose even though they eat the same things.  The mongooses tolerate this because the hornbills warn each other (and the mongooses) of predators, especially birds of prey.
