Pied Imperial Pigeon
This bird is sometimes called the "nutmeg pigeon" because it feeds on nutmeg fruit, which can be as large as its head and is swallowed whole. The thin covering of the nutmeg is digested and the nut passes whole through the bird's system.
A unique feature of this pigeon is its parrot-like feet which enable it to hang from branches to eat fruit.
