White-crested Laughing Thrush

The biggest threat to this species is the illegal pet trade.  They belong to a group of birds called babblers and are prized for their calls. 

While social throughout most of the year, they become highly territorial during the breeding season. Both parents share in incubating the eggs and rearing the chicks.
