Black-necked Swan
These birds are the most aquatic swans and rarely leave the water. The young (called cygnets) stay close to their parents and may even ride on their backs.
While social throughout much of the year, black-necked swans become territorial and very aggressive during the breeding season. The male will attach any intruder, using his wings to beat his opponent.
