Asian Elephant

Elephants communicate by touch, sound and scent. Adults can talk to each other over long distances with infrasonic level calls too low for humans to hear.

When food or water are scarce an elephant may have to travel miles to find these resources. However, when they are abundant an elephant will stay put, travelling as little as one mile a day.
