Earth Day & Party for the Planet

NOTE: Volunteers must enter the Zoo at Greenwood Park. View MAP for details.

This year, we are excited to announce that the 27th Annual Louisiana Earth Day celebration will be hosted at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo on Saturday, April 22, 2017! Louisiana Earth Day has joined forces with the Zoo’s “Party for the Planet,” event for a day filled with hands-on environmental activities and exhibits, conservation education, special zoo keeper chats, animal enrichments, entertainment, and fun for the entire family.

What better way to celebrate our Earth than honoring the magnificent creatures that inhabit our planet? More than 120 zoos and aquariums across North America are celebrating Earth Day with the 10th annual Party for the Planet. This is the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America!
