Reticulated Giraffe

A mother giraffe often gives birth while standing making the newborn's first experience outside the womb a 6 foot drop! Giraffes are about 6 feet tall at birth.

To get blood all the way up its neck a giraffe has a heart about the size of a basketball and can pump 16 gallons of blood in one minute.
