Razorback Musk Turtle

"Razorback" refers to the sharp keel on the carapace of this turtle, and "musk" refers to its defense of producing a strong, musky odor to deter predators.

This turtle prefers to sun itself on snags of driftwood rather than coming to shore to bask. Only the females venture on land when it is time to lay eggs.
