Malayan Tiger

Tigers typically live and hunt alone. On average a tiger must kill once every eight days. A female with growing cubs may kill every five to six days.

The Malayan tiger was identified as a unique sub-species in 2004. Of the approximately 500 left in the wild 90% are thought to live outside of preserves.
