Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo Names New Board Members

Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo named six new board members throughout 2019. The mission of Friends of the Baton Rouge Zoo is to support BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo. These progressive, new board members will bring valuable ideas, funding, support, leadership and expertise as the Zoo embarks on its 50th anniversary in 2020.  

Norisha Kirts Glover
Possessing a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Louisiana State University, Glover currently serves as President of NRK Construction. She has served as a founding board member and chair for THRIVE Academy, Cancer Services, Woman’s Hospital, and the LSU Public Administration Institute. She also served on the Workforce Investment Commission. Her additional community involvement includes Rotary Club member and incoming President for the Junior League of Baton Rouge.

Gordy Rush
A graduate of Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso School of Business, Rush originally attended Purdue University on a football scholarship. He transferred to LSU and was a 3-year Tiger letterman and named Special Team’s Player of the Year in 1990. Rush currently serves as Vice President of Guaranty Media and has received several prestigious awards, including Louisiana Broadcaster of the Year and Golden Mike Award. Civically, he is an executive board member at the Fore!Kids Foundation and President of the Baton Rouge Downtown Business Association.

Trey Roberts
A Texas Christian University graduate, Roberts currently services as the Assistant General Manager at Lamar Advertising. He also serves on the BRAR Business Advisory Board, Rotary Club, St. James Episcopal Church Vestry, and is Past President of the St. James Episcopal Day School Board. 

Ralph Ney
Ney is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and currently serves as General Manager of the Baton Rouge Marriott. Ney serves civically as a member of the Baton Rouge Lodging Association, Louisiana Travel Association, Culture/Recreation/Tourism Board, Rotary Club, Louisiana Hospitality Association and the Louisiana Lodging Association.

Vince Jackson
A Nova Southeastern graduate, Jackson currently serves as the Vice President of Customer Service for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. He is also a board member for the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children.

Brad Boudreaux
Boudreaux is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s school of Business and Law School. He is an attorney with Schutte, Terhoeve, Richardson, Eversberg, Cronin, Judice & Boudreaux. He is active in LSU Athletics, children’s sports and First United Methodist of Baton Rouge.
